Public awareness programs and other Activities
To protect and promote the heritage of the country, with the support and participation of local and International organizations. The Nepal Heritage Society has been conducting various programs to raise public awareness.
This organization organizes conferences, workshops, seminars talk programs, exhibitions lecture programs
Etc. from historians, artists, conservationists, and archeologists from time to time about the importance of preserving the heritage of the country. Besides, a team of journalists has been used from time to time on “heritage” related works and trips. In this regard, a heritage tour for heritage lovers is organized at various historical places such as Panauti and other historical and archaeological sites of the country.
In the year 2008, a seminar was, held on Suzanne’s Collection of Kathmandu Guest House in Thamel, a major tourist spot in Kathmandu. Most of the heritage-loving tourists and foreign guests participated in the seminar. It mentioned the worshiped Ghah (urn), which has mostly disappeared in Nepali society, and gave a message to the public about the expansion of historical settlements.
In June 2023 a strategic workshop with a plan for the future development of Nepal Heritage was organized with the long-term vision of developing five years and 2023/2024 programs.
The Nepal Heritage Society has been working as an important pressure group for the preservation of the country’s heritage. In order to protect the heritage of the country from being destroyed and threatened to be destroyed.
This Nepal Heritage Society has been doing its own financing for the maintenance and conservation of small heritage sites as far as its income sources are sufficient.
